Dr. Allessandra M. Bennett Lowery is a native of New Jersey who grew up in small town Sanford, NC. In her youth she was active in her church’s Youth Group and a member of the local 4-H group. She participated in various sports, her favorites being cross country running and the Marching Band’s color guard. Upon her graduation from Lee Senior High School, she went on to attend the University of North Carolina in Wilmington where she earned her BA in Biology. (Go Seahawks!) At the University of NC in Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Allessandra Lowery has worked in many settings including the prison system, a community dental clinic, public health and as the Dental Department Chair of Wayne Community College. The most significant thing Dr. Lowery has learned throughout her career as a dentist is how to be compassionate and kind to patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Old North State Dental Society.
Dr. Lowery is married to a wonderful and supportive husband, B. Lamont Lowery and they have three amazing young sons: Brention, Gabriel and Julian. Her family has resided in Pitt County since 2004 and consider it home. Dr. Lowery enjoys exercising, reading novels and cooking.
